service, state-of-the-art cardiac catherization
lab is available at St. Francis. We provide diagnostic and advanced
clinical procedures with the surgical back-up
capabilities on site. Some of
the diagnostic and interventional procedural services provided include:
- coronary angiography
- right and left heart catherization
- valve studies
- percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
- intravasular ultrasound (IVUS)
- intraaortic balloon placement
- intracoronary stent placement
- brachytherapy
- temporary pacemaker insertion
- intracoronary thrombectomy
- rotational atherectomy
We are equipped with two fully staffed interventional labs capable
of the latest in cardiac interventional therapies with more than 1600
cases and 650 interventions last year. Our volume allows us
to perform state-of-the-art procedures only available at Mercer
County's top hospital for cardiac care. We are also
the only hospital in the county with an open heart surgery team available
at all times for back-up.
Along with having the latest equipment including the newest in drug
eluting stents, IVUS, X-Sysor and imaging equipment, we also have
a highly qualified and caring staff of physicians, nurses, and cardiovascular
technicians.
Our staff is involved in various research studies including the use
of current closure devices used for post diagnostic and interventional
cases which allows patients to have a faster recovery time with less
complications.
Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. The
lab also has a 24 hour emergency on call team available that can perform
life saving procedures whenever needed.
